The Coalition

What began as a handful of advocates meeting around a table in 2011 has grown into a regional network of nearly 50 partner organizations working together to advance justice, dignity, and equity for farmworkers and immigrants across Western New York and the Finger Lakes.

Meet the Our Partners

“Enlace is a crucial member of the collective of agencies that serve the immigrant population of Rochester and the surrounding areas. JustCause, as a pro bono legal services provider, frequently relies on Enlace's deep understanding of and connection to the farmworker communities in Western New York. Their compassionate outreach is often the first step in getting farmworkers' legal needs addressed, particularly in immigration matters.

With Enlace having an experienced Department-of-Justice-accredited representative on staff, JustCause and Enlace can collaborate by referring immigration cases to each other according to which agency is best suited for the individual client. In addition to their legal services, Enlace's holistic approach to case management identifies and addresses an individual's needs in a way that goes beyond what strictly legal services agencies are equipped to provide.

Since 2023, we have partnered not only in responding to asylum seekers bused from New York City but also in ongoing initiatives such as family preparedness work. In 2023, Enlace quickly mobilized to provide comprehensive case management services, addressing urgent needs such as housing, health, and social supports, while coordinating closely with our staff to ensure individuals could access critical immigration legal assistance.

Because of their dedication, newly arrived asylum seekers received both practical support and guidance necessary to pursue their asylum claims with dignity and stability. Enlace’s compassion and collaborative approach have been instrumental in helping vulnerable families and individuals navigate challenging and uncertain circumstances.

We have known them as the Western New York Coalition of Farmworker Serving Agencies, and now celebrate their new identity as Enlace. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and the heart they bring to this work, which continues to strengthen our community and ensures that no one is left behind.”
